Read more than the damage number
Compare range, ammunition, reload behavior and special effects in the equipment description. Consider how long you need to expose your robot to deliver useful damage. A short burst and sustained fire ask for different movement decisions.
Use the target distance indicator and learn the point at which your chosen weapons become useful. Firing from the wrong position can reveal you without helping the team.
Make distance work for the build
For a close-range plan, work from cover to cover and look for a supported approach. For a ranged plan, choose a firing lane with a retreat route. Remaining far away is not useful if you cannot influence the objective.
Be cautious about mixing weapons whose preferred distances or reload cycles pull you in different directions. If you intentionally mix them, know which weapon is doing the main job and when the others contribute.
Test a controlled change
Change one part of the loadout, then compare several battles. Record the map, weapon levels and the situations in which you ran out of cover or ammunition.
Do not treat a creator video as a guarantee of the same result. Look for the conditions behind the demonstration: equipment level, support, opponents and the version of the game.
