About Nekton: A advanced experimental war machine engineered by the EvoLife faction, built to combine terrifying aerial dominance with sleek, alien-inspired aesthetics. Standing tall on three exceptionally long, slender, and elongated tripod legs, its imposing physique resembles something straight out of classic sci-fi stories depicting alien invasions. The upper body features a flattened, aerodynamic hull finished in dark blue metallic hues with intricate energy-conduit patterns etched along the armor, centered around a single glowing red optic lens that acts as its primary targeting sensor.
Despite its towering stance, Nekton is remarkably nimble on the ground, maintaining a base movement speed of 50 km/h and backed by a sturdy structural durability with a base hit point pool of 290,000. Its true terror on the battlefield, however, comes from its specialized flight-and-defense module known as the Abyss ability. Upon triggering Abyss, Nekton launches into the air, instantly surrounding itself with an advanced energy-absorbing forcefield called an Absorber shield.
While in mid-air, the Absorber shield converts all incoming damage directed at Nekton directly into extra operational flight time. For every 25,000 points of damage the shield takes from enemy fire, Nekton gains an additional 1 second of ability duration, capping out at a maximum bonus duration of 8 extra seconds. Furthermore, if enemy forces stop firing and the absorbed damage leaves unused bonus time when the flight ends, that excess duration is automatically redirected into reducing the cooldown timer of the Abyss ability, allowing Nekton to prepare for its next aerial assault much faster.
Offensivly, Nekton comes integrated with a high-intensity built-in incinerating laser that inflicts a heavy 6,500 ability damage, designed to melt enemy armors and leave nothing behind but ash. To maximize its offensive footprint, its chassis is outfitted with multiple weapon hardpoints. The ideal combat setup recommended for this unit consists of one heavy Mesmer-H slot paired with three lighter Mesmer-L slots, allowing it to unleash overwhelming, continuous energy barrages from above while remaining completely protected behind its damage-converting shield.
